String Art Using Craftreat Stencils and Cotton Cords

Hello Everyone, Today I am going to share with you a string art wall hanging using Craftreat Stencils and Cotton Cords.

So bring out your creative side, and make decorative string art with just a few simple materials. Follow this step-by-step demonstration and show off your art.

What you’ll need to get started…

Required Materials

MDF Base

Box of nails

Hammer

Live Love Laugh Stencil

Craftreat cotton cord

Craftreat Chalk Paint

Preparation

I stenciled my design on an A4 size sheet Using Live Love Laugh Stencil by Craftreat.

Then paint the base of MDF using chalk paint. I used Serene Snowfall chalk paint to color the MDF base.

Then I stenciled the MDF base using Live Love Laugh Stencil using various shades of chalk Paint by Craftreat.

Later I placed my image on top of the MDF base.

I Outlined my image with the nails — be sure to space them out and push the nails far enough into the board so the nails don’t move.

Tie your colored string to one of the nails then remove your printout.

Now it’s time to outline your shape with the string to make it really stand out.

Next, tie the string to every nail and work your way back to the original nail. As you move the string from one nail to the other, cover all the gaps in your design. When you’re finished, add a small drop of hot glue where you tie off the string on the last nail then trim the end of the string.
