INSIDE ISSUE 31 // "Something that interests me about both of our practices is how they reside on opposite ends of a spectrum but meet in the middle. A huge part of your process involves compiling the images you mentioned and using them to create elaborate collages, and then carving pieces out of the results with a knife. You start with an abundance of information and methodically pare it down, whereas with my work, the point of origin is this very minimal thing (string), which is twisted and looped repeatedly until it approaches sort of maximalist territory, similar to your starting place. We both access the same points, just at different moments in our processes." Read @mister_caitlin & @alexeckmanlawn's intimate conversation in Issue 31 of Beautiful Bizarre Magazine.
