Hugh for 24, 31, 38 and Lucinda for 17, 26. :3
24. How do they present themselves socially? What distinguishes their “persona” from their “true self”, and what causes that difference?
Hugo mostly sees himself as a peacekeeper for his group, and among them that persona is the closest to his true self. Among others, he becomes much more distant, if still very kindly.
31. Is there anything that counts as a “dealbreaker” for them, positively or negatively? What makes things go smoothly, and what spoils an activity or ruins their day? Why?
People refusing to listen, either to him or to each other, will make him very frustrated. He’ll usually try to make people listen, but once it gets past a certain point of refusal, he will just straight give up.
38. Is there anything they wish they could change about their worldview or thought processes? What, and why?
Hugo wishes he was more stereotypically “strong” sometimes, as he’s aware of his own softheartedness.
17. Are they more shaped by nature or nurture — who they are, or what has happened to them? How have these shaped who they’ve become as a person?
Lucinda is very much shaped by what has happened to her; hell, a huge plot point in the story is her past and how it’s affected her.
26. How do they view and feel about relationships, and how might this manifest in how they handle them, if it does?
In a general sense of relationships, she feels like her relationship with her team is the most important thing in her life–so she tries to keep everyone together and unified so they can stay together. If we’re talking about romantic relationships specifically, she doesn’t care at all.
