Liz and Maria are acting weird. And I don’t mean their usual kind of weird, I mean, really, really weird. They won’t talk to me about anything. Everytime I go up to talk to them they get all clammy and awkward and they don’t say anything. I hate this. I can’t just spend my entire day with the idiots I’m trying to put a band together with, I just can’t. They get irritating after a while and Liz and Maria are my best friends.

 I miss them. I don’t know. I just wish they’d trust me enough to tell me whatever’s going on, you know?

"What? Oh, no. Nothing's happening between me and Isabel. I mean, we've been hanging out again for the first time since we broke up, but nothing's going on, you know?"

"I mean, obviously." he stares at her, waiting for her to respond, as if she knows exactly why it's obvious. And then he realizes. "Oh. I guess you're kind of behind, huh? Sorry, I've been sort of caught up with everything going on and we haven't really had a chance to talk! 'Cause Dawn and I are dating now. You know. Officially." he pauses. "Don't worry, as long as Dawn and I are together, nothing's gonna happen between Isabel and I, ever. Actually, nothing's probably ever gonna happen between Isabel and I again, no matter what. So."

"Oh," Dawn turned, gaze landing on the small bottle of holy water her sister had started making her carry around. Awkward. "Right. Thanks," she smiled, quickly palming the vial and tucking it into her bag. She’d seen Liz around Roswell quite a bit, she knew her by reputation and through Alex, who she’d become fast friends with. However, she’d never had a real conversation with the girl. Hell, she wasn’t sure if she even really knew who she was. "I’m Dawn," she gestured to herself. "Er… Alex’s friend."
