Spike was slumped in his chair a half a bottle of whiskey in his hands. A few more littered the coffee table with a few on the floor. The clearly drunk vampire took a drink from the bottle in his hands and looked up blinking at Dawn once he noticed the girl. He looked momentarily confused as to why Dawn was there before he sighed.

“Evenin’, Nibblet. Let me guess, your sister’s wantin’ me ta help with patrol?” he asked. His words were a little slurred but at least he could talk, even if in his drunk state his already muddled accent was even worse then it was when he was sober. “Sorry but i’m takin’ the night off.” he added.

“Oh, no, I was just— in the neighborhood.” Sure, Dawn, in the dark cemetery neighborhood. She crunched over some dead leaves and stepped mindfully around the abandoned empty bottles. It was hard not to be amused by this picture. On any typical night, there was a big goose egg in the danger column when it came to Spike - he really wasn’t the biggest bad in Dawn’s eyes by a long shot. But now he reeked of liquor, and she was pretty sure he couldn’t stand up without toppling over. “I noticed. Looks like a real fiesta.”

A tickled smirk pressing into her lips, little Summers took a seat on a stray slab of cement. She stood her elbows up on her knees, rested her chin in her hands. “Havin’ fun?”
