[1:12 pm] You felt a splash of water hit your body from above, and as you knew it wasn’t raining and that neither Minhee nor Jungmoo had the audacity to interrupt you while you were reading, you knew that it was thanks to your boyfriend that your book was now covered in small drops. When you looked up, you saw Allen hovering over you, a grin on his lips and his hair soaking wet.
“Get in the pool with me?” he asked, clasping his hands together in front of him as if he was begging you. You quickly shook your head. “You’ve been reading all day! You should at least cool off a bit.”
“Cool off could’ve been an option,” you started, looking back at your book. “but I can tell that from the water you threw on me that it’s not just cool, it’s ice cold. So no, thank you.”
Allen shook his head in disappointment, and was about to leave you alone to go join his friends in the pool when he had an idea. He wiped his hands off on the towel you were lying on, and then grabbed your book from your hands. Ignoring the “hey!” escaping from your lips, he placed the book on the table next to you before strutting over to your side. And before you could even react, his arms had sneaked in under your legs and back, pulling you up so you were in his embrace. You gasped as he walked over to the pool, realizing what he was thinking.
“Put me down right this second!” you yelled, kicking your legs in the air even though you knew it would do nothing to help you. He only shook his head before telling Minhee to watch out. And then he jumped in, with you in his arms.
You were lucky you were already wearing your swimsuit - or, rather, he was lucky - so it wasn’t too bad. Except for the fact that the pool was freezing cold compared to the warm air you’d just been in. Right as you resurfaced you puffed, instantly clinging onto Allen’s body in hope of regaining some warmth. Though, when you heard him chuckle, you pulled away to show him the pout your mouth had formed into and your furrowed eyebrows. His smile disappeared in a millisecond.
“Are you mad at me?”
You couldn’t help but to smile at the change in his attitude, shaking your head. “No. I love you, dumbass,” you hummed, sticking your tongue out at him.
“Call me dumbass one more time and I won’t hesitate to push you underwater again!”
