Marta and Emil end up together in their game, are they only BFFs in TotR? (Not that it bothers me I’m just nosy- //// )
Nah, they’re a couple. They’re basically on a date at one point in their event scenario, and Marta’s character skit actually has someone joke about a double date with Kyle/Reala! I just call them BFFs because it’s cuter IMO.
Also if we want to talk ships (that most controversial of subjects, which you didn’t ask about but I’m touching on anyway because I don’t have enough excuses to talk DotNW indepth anymore) I’m into both Emil/Marta and Emil/Richter as ships - or rather Emil being in love with both at once, RIP dude - and the Marta/Emil relationship is bigger on friendship than Richter/Emil is for generally obvious and Ratatosk-related reasons. Like look at this moment from Chapter 1, just meeting Marta and making a friend makes the boy SO HAPPY despite the rest of his life being terrible.
I think Kyle/Reala and Marta/Emil are relatively stable couples across Tales mobile games...this comes up in a Tales of Link Valentine’s skit too, where Marta tries to make chocolate for Emil to cheer up her boyfriend exhausted from guild work. RIP Emil, again.
