Review:
First I have to say, I am not a huge fan of horror anymore, the genre has become tired and boring; no excessive amounts of gore and jump scares do not make it better. This film has almost a nostalgic feel, it is rather Alien like without being a cookie cutter copy. Crawl of Die as an excellent low budget film, the story isn’t something new and original but the way it played out was quite unique. The majority of the film is captured in very cramped dark tunnels, I don’t usually like overly dark films but this out set the tone. The shear physical acting left me feeling rather exhausted as if I was crawling with the actors. Speaking of actors, the female lead Nicole (TANK) is a badass take no shit solider who happens to be quite appealing aesthetically (Don’t tell her significant other). Now, I am not going to rate this on any scale, I believe art and entertainment are very much subjective but I do have to say this was a great watch. Don’t take my word for it, go check it out.
