Carrot Conundrum

I've noticed something quite interesting when I'm feeding my rabbits carrots....they will not eat a carrot if you (a human) has bitten on it.....let me explain: I have 3 rabbits. 2 of them (Gizmo and Scarface) could easily be world speed eating champions. The other is my sweet old man (Masterchief) and he's kind of a slow eater.....so I give him one small baby carrot that I hand feed him while the other 2 chow down on 2 larger baby carrots each.....then I bring one extra baby carrot as a "just in case" to distract the other 2 while my old guy finishes up.....usually I give that one to Gizmo because she always finishes first and is very aggressive with Masterchief.....but sometimes, I break that carrot in half and give Gizmo and Scarface each a half.....on occasion, the carrot is too thick to break in half with my bare hands, so I have to bite it in half.....and none of the rabbits will touch the piece that was in my mouth......so weird!!!!!
