We of the craft are all crazy. Some are affected by gaiety, others by melancholy, but all are more or less touched.

Just a quick things this time - for obvious reasons
Another thing that drives me crazy
I was looking back at some posts about the Greek mythology and artists changing myths for their own “personal retellings” of the stories.
I agree with reinventing the stories a bit. I agree with artist doing their own renditions of the story of the myths.
But please, don’t say “Hey, let’s throw the “canon” by the window! I don’t care what myths says, I can do whatever I want! And, anyway, the myths always contradict each other and have different versions, so I’m just making my own version of the myth, my own myth!”.
Please, just don’t. You can completely ignore the myths you are basing your stori or rendition on. You can’t deem the myths and mythologies worthless just because you like to tell the story another way. And no, you are not creating a new myth. You are just doing a modern, artistic, and unique rendition of the story that comes from the myth. You are not “reinventing” the myth or creating a new myth.
Crazy Artists
To be a great artist, you have to be crazy. <—— this is true if you don’t glorify God with your talent but serve only your self and the world with it. Crazy people are attracted to crazy performers. Crazy performers act such to be accepted by crazy people. We have to filter what we watch because we become what we watch and listen to. We have to put standards for our eyes and ears. We must always…

Trainwrecked Primadonnas of the Musicverse Profiles - Fiona Apple
It is said that God first made Man, then took a vacation and made Woman. Unbeknownst to him, Man fucked around with the beta designs of Woman in his absence, configured the hormonal levels to maximum and gave birth to an anomaly monstrosity known as Fiona Apple. When God came back and saw this, he hung her from a tree and told Adam and Eve never to take a bite off the Apple. Well, Eve couldn’t help herself and did it anyway, and we suffer to this date for putting the Godmother of Primadonnas AKA Miss Fiona Apple on a pedestal.
To say that Fiona Apple is an emotional nutjob perpetually on her period is an understatement. It didn't take long for the music world to learn that when MTV made the grave mistake of handing her a Video Music Award for Best New Artist at the 1997 VMAs. Instead of just accepting her award with a few thanks and acknowledgments like a normal person might, she instead launched into one of the most awkward and painful televised rants of all time.
There's really no telling what got Fiona in such a surly mood on a night when her peers were lavishing her with worthless awards, but her career as a breakdown-prone live performer was just getting started.
For starters, the title of her sophomore album, mercifully referred to only as When the Pawn ... by most media outlets, was actually a paragraph that reads as follows:
When the Pawn Hits the Conflicts He Thinks like a King What He Knows Throws the Blows When He Goes to the Fight and He'll Win the Whole Thing 'fore He Enters the Ring There's No Body to Batter When Your Mind Is Your Might So When You Go Solo, You Hold Your Own Hand and Remember That Depth Is the Greatest of Heights and If You Know Where You Stand, Then You Know Where to Land and If You Fall It Won't Matter, Cuz You'll Know That You're Right.
Kindly take note of the selfless generosity she shows in saving space on the album cover by using the word cuz" instead of “because”. Just a few songs into one of the very first shows to promote her new album, Fiona blurted out something about wanting to do well in New York before yelling, "But I can't fucking hear myself!" Things only got worse from there, culminating in Fiona Apple crying and storming off after just 40 minutes onstage.
