This post is inspired by me talking to some Muslim girls at the airport and them complaining about how hard it was to eat in Korea..which was the opposite of my trip lol and its just down to knowing where and what to eat, really.
Crazy Ddeokbokki was recommended by one of the bloggers that used to live in Korea and they've scoped the place to be a-ok, just ask your waiter to remove the meat.
If you're STILL picky about the pot/utensils/whatever, then ask for takeaway. They'll pack all the stuff (frozen) into a container and give you the sauce in a bottle and give you instructions, and you can heat it up at your guesthouse like we did.
I'm recommending it because ITS FUCKING DELICIOUS. (Alright I only had ddeokbokki twice in Korea but this was superior.)
1: Once you step outside Hongdae Station exit 9, turn left.
1.5: Refrain from buying cute things.
2: Walk until you meet an odd fork in the road that makes a small clearing/park. Buskers and street performers like to use that area. Turn right.
3: Keep an eye on the top floors of the shops on the left. It used to be on top Oleveage or something but that is no longer there or I didn't see it. Anyway, you'll see the Crazy Ddeokbokki sign. The entrance is round the corner.
You can choose your level of spiciness. Personally I like the lowest level because my throat hates capsaicin and lowest is just nice but we also had spicy level and it was quite hot but still delicious and I was still the last person to poke around in the pot XP
The portion was quite hearty, 4 of us went at one regular serving and there was still leftovers. Since I didn't eat there, more pics HERE and HERE and this is their official website.
