J spent 15 years of his life in an insane asylum before coming here. He was diagnosed as a psycopathic sociopath and was indeed one before he got here. Once he met the host, he changed. Not totally suddenly, but over time. He began to feel emotions like love and things like arousal whereas he didn't before. He is also married to Jennifer, Pennywise and the two Merles mentioned.
J is one of the biggest protectors here. He is charming and good at making people think he likes them. He does that to keep them at a distance until he knows them well enough to trust them. He has done it with fellow alters too so if you ever meet him, don't feel threatened or left out. He will not hurt anyone unless it's out of self defense. Same goes for all the other system members. Their goal is to protect, not hurt.
