Strawberry Machine is the Shibuya-kei electropop solo project of whispery-voiced Akira Okabe, based in Nagoya, Japan. Okabe sings on top of electronic music generated primarily with synthesizers, also utilizing sound effects from video games and other electro sources. Making music under this name since 1997 Okabe has released three full length albums, a demo, and a compilation album.
