Hey guys, I'll share my final thoughts on all the anime I had seen this season. First with Appare-Ranman!
Wow, this is fantastic. I almost drop it last April but its return this July had been amazing. Great character dynamics and the visuals are vivid. Character designs are lovely, plus the characters are unique making the whole ride a hell of fun experience. It's cheesy, generic and nothing but a fireball of entertainment. Each character offer a different flavor to the story. Side note, I love Crazy TJ so much.
Estimated ranking for my summer 2020 final review: 6th-9th place.
Man, I love the Appare Ranman! anime, enough to break from my usual writing to do a one-shot for it.
Anyway, I know there are a few other Gil fans on this site, so enjoy a Gil-centric fic with Dylan and TJ.
I adore Sofia! She and TJ are 100% ship material for me.
We get a delightful interaction between Sofia and TJ in this week’s episode. TJ has been shown to get bored and restless very easily/often, but we see Sofia keeping pace with him here. We know that Sofia can be a bit bold and outgoing when she wants to be, and I feel TJ would definitely encourage that (after all, he seems super impressed with her in the drinking scene). Plus, her assertiveness and sass would be something that would keep him on his toes.
In a previous episode, we saw TJ singing along to music (even when he didn't really know the lyrics, lol) and I could also easily see her singing along to music with him.
They seem like they would be a fun couple! It would be so awesome to see an interracial couple, especially when one of the characters is black, since it is still a pretty rare thing to see in anime.
