Well, I ended up confessing, and I got rejected. I feel sad and broken, but at the same time, I’m not even sure how to process or release it. To be honest, I just feel numb—like I should be crying or grieving, but I don't know how to right now. Still, in a strange way, a part of me finally feels at peace. At least the uncertainty is gone, and I’m no longer stuck overthinking what could have been.
I don’t even know how to name what I’m feeling right now, but the silence is getting too heavy to ignore. It feels like being ghosted all over again, right at the moment I let my guard down and thought, maybe this time is different. Maybe I’ve actually fallen for someone again.
And then... nothing. No response, no answers, just complete radiosilence.
It takes me right back to 2024, when my head went into the exact same tailspin over someone I thought I clicked with. I know I’m not the easiest person to understand. My life can be chaotic, and relationships—whether it’s family, friends, or work—have always been messy for me. So when I finally feel like I’ve met someone on the same frequency, someone who actually gets me, it feels like a total breath of fresh air.
Which makes the sudden disappearance hurt even more.
Now that familiar, heavy question is back: Did I do something wrong, or is there just something fundamentally wrong with me?
What hurts the most is the complete lack of communication. How am I supposed to know where things went sideways when our last conversation felt so good? Out of nowhere, the door just shuts. I tried giving the benefit of the doubt—maybe he’s just busy, maybe life got in the way, and I didn’t want to be overbearing or pushy. But days of complete silence make you start spiraling. Did he find someone better? Did I make a misstep? Is this some test to see if I’ll chase?
I hate the guessing games. I hate not knowing.
I haven’t told a single soul how much this has been drowning me these past few days. I can’t bring myself to open up to my friends because I already know what the judgment feels like—being labeled as naive, being told I fell too fast, or that I mistook basic kindness for affection. Maybe it was all in my head. Maybe it was just a false pretense on his end and pure assumption on mine.
Even if that’s true, it still hurts to be discarded without a word. I just wanted clarity. Is that really too much to ask?

Don't give me mixed signals, I'm dumb enough to always mistake kindness for affection.

My mind is in total chaos tonight. Overthinking, overanalyzing, and carrying the weight of things that aren't even mine to carry.
Life lately is a weird mix of fun and suffocating. I just wish someone would come pull me out of my own head.
