I just finished the soulmates fic and….*sniff* I’m not crying!! U are!! Na but in all seriousness this was an amazing fic!! And I wanted to tell you my idea I got because this fic hasn’t left my mind since finishing it
what if Simon WAS in the same universe? Like imagine grace writing on his arm and getting a reply in KOREAN!! that be so interesting!!! and I feel like the cult would still exist, and Simon would sneak some markers to write to Grace, and I feel like the whole “ the markings are a test “ thing will still exist because like what if someone gets a soulmate outside of the cult? The father can just say it’s a test so they never leaves. The possibilities. THE ANGST.
Ooh, I think you may have gotten the wrong person because I haven't written a bloodymary soulmate au!! My fic is centre of gravity, the superpower au. However...I now REALLY wanna read whatever fic you read because that sounds SO good oh my days, and I looooove your idea for it (I'm assuming it's like, a soulmate au where they can write messages on their skin to each other?). I actually love it when people have Simon and Grace not speak the same language, I haven't seen it done much but I am beta-reading a fic like that and it is SO so cool. I find them most interesting when the cultural differences between the two of them are really dug into and that's one reaaaaally cool way to do it. And then YEAH WITH EDEN, the idea of having a soulmate outside the cult could actually be SO dangerous for Simon?? Like that's such a threat to the cult because then they can't control the information that Simon is getting. Like that's a link to the outside world...damn!! That's such a cool idea, you should totally write that as a fic!! And then link me when you're done!! 👀
