“Are you sure this is the right way?” Helena asked as she carefullyregarded the map in her hands. It rustled as she turned it this way and that,trying to be sure she was looking at the right spot. Next to her Myka grippedthe steering wheel of Pete’s SUV. He’d let them borrow it, Myka’s car was inthe shop. Her knuckles were growing white with the force of her grasp.

“That’s what the GPS says.” Myka replied tersely. Helenagave her a raised eyebrow, and Myka couldn’t see it, her eyes were focused onthe road, but she could just feel it. She lifted one hand off the steeringwheel to rub at her neck, as she said, “I’m sorry. I don’t mean to have anattitude. I guess I’m just on edge from being woken up.”

“Well, yes, I will admit, waking up in another state, inyour bed nonetheless, at two in the morning was a bit of a shock to me as well.”Helena quipped, returning her attention to the map.

“I’m sorry, Helena.” Myka said quietly. “I mean obviouslythere’s an artifact at play here. Though I don’t know if you’ve been whammiedor me.”

“Hard to say.” Helena said, “It could be either of us, buthonestly I think the chances of you running into an artifact is substantiallyhigher these days.” Then more quietly she added, “I’ve put that behind me.”

“I know.” Myka whispered, more to herself than Helena.Whether Helena heard it or not, Myka didn’t know because she made no move orsound to acknowledge it. Myka tightened her death grip on the steering wheel,and said in a taut voice, “Well, Pete and I will figure it out either way. Let’sjust get you back to Giselle, hm?”

“Cheerio.” Helena said, though she didn’t look at Myka, andthe air between them had become thick. It was going to be a long drive.

I love your clois/supercorp parallels. Thanks for making them! I thought I'd ask since Ive only seen the first few seasons of Smallville. Do you see more parallels between Clois and Supercorp, or Lex/Clark and Lena/Kara? I see them both, but wanted to get your opinion. Thanks.

thank you, i enjoy making them! oooooh, this is an interesting question. i’ve actually made this clark/lex parallel awhile back. and like you, i see A LOT of parallels there too. i think that my clark/lex, clark/lois parallels just goes to show that SG can really go either way with the way they’re writing supercorp rn. they can so easily take either of the two clichéd paths: the clark/lex path, “best-friend-turned-arch-nemesis” or they can go the clark/lois path, “best-friend-turned-lover” (which would be absolutely groundbreaking but i doubt it)

Great comic Lena meta. Just a few things I would add maybe :DC Super Hero girls both the show and the lego sets, she is an antagonist. I believe she is a villain in Superwoman Rebirth but that is still in my "read" pile. Yes, Lena Luthor really does run the board on morality in all her incarnations, most of them falling more on the good side. I hope Supergirl continues that trend with her being good. Thanks for the informative post.

Thankyou! I knew she was an antagonist in the lego sets, I actually didn’t knowthere was show. And according to what I read she is a villain in superwoman, Ithink it’s kind of the same character as the one in The New 52? It’s hard toget information about her because she’s usually a small character. 

And yeah, that’s why I find hercharacter so interesting. In most of her incarnations she was really close toLex before he goes bad and sometimes even after, and she’s a Luthor, havingthat name in a DC world isn’t easy, she’s always immediately judged by herbrother’s or family’s actions

 That’s why I really like thatshe’s good and I want her to be an ally instead of another villain. Like Katiesaid “she keeps defying them”. Yes, she’s a Luthor, she’s related to Lex, butthat doesn’t mean she automatically has to be the same, it’s actually reallyamazing that she’s not despite the love she usually has for her bother. 

So, I’m crossing my fingers they won’tturn her into a villain in Supergirl. I don’t think it would make sense at all,and if they do I hope they find a way for it to be believable and not just haveher be bad because of her last name. I also hope they address how smart she is, because she’s even smarter than Lex in some of those incarnations and that always plays a big role in her character. 

Sorry for the long answer, I just have a lot of feelings about Lena Luthor. And thanks for the ask!
