i'm listening to a song and the lyrics are "with a heart on her sleeve" but of course for days without questioning it i thought it was "with a hard on her sleeve"

i get messed up with kesler on the american team
sometimes i get angry at dumb things that happened eons ago like when i told my friend the new season for orphan black comes out in april and he was like that's so long from now remind me when its april and im like AM I YOUR FUCKING SECRETARY??????
ya know ive come to a slight realization (maybe i'm late for it and everybody else understands it already)
i've thought a few times "look at canada/us, we're fine with gay marriage being legal! why can't everyone follow us?"
obviously not
each country/place has its own values and beliefs that dictate its social and governing systems whether you agree with said values or beliefs. so saying "look at us" is like saying "look at those fools with their maple syrup and polar bears" to them.
basically, everybody is so wound up in themselves that they can't see past anything. as a canadian, i couldn't see past my country's own legal marriage rights and for some other countries (and i speak about america specifically and generally), they can't see past their own.
just a little sliver of perspective on why it's so hard for some countries/groups/people to accept certain lifestyles and why it's easy for others.
i wish i had a cape
you know what adds to the complete and utter pain of arthur's death scene?
THE FACT THAT IT IS HARD AS FUCK TO COLOUR
my friend asked a bunch of us if we want to hang out at her new place and when we're all available
and one of my friends are like "i'm available after this week or we can do this during reading break"
