He was almost certain that the hybrid would be ending his life soon, a hand in his chest and ready to pluck his heart to just toss across the room. Damon was no match for an original, but that did not stop him from walking straight into Klaus' house and picking a fight with him. While Elijah found Damon incredibly irritating on most occasions, there were times when he admired the younger vampire; his undeniable love and loyalty for his brother, willing to fight against an original for him, being one of those times. He stepped into the room, quiet and catlike, his impossibly old eyes watching the scene transpire before him. Within an instant, he was across the room, his hands on either side of his own brother's neck; only one goal in mind, to twist and break. The snap of his vertebrae echoed through the foyer, followed by the sound of Klaus falling to the floor. Sure, he would regret this action later, when his brother attempted to retaliate back towards him, but he couldn't let Damon die just for trying to defend his own family, his little brother. Elijah understood that, feeling the need to protect your own.

"How many times have I saved you now?"

Damon groaned from where he lay on his back, the wounds in his chest healing slowly until he was finally able to stand again. With a scowl to his face he shoved Elijah by the shoulder, though hardly with enough force to physically move him. "Took you long enough, now where do you keep the alcohol?"

Bright blue eyes glanced around the ballroom, looking at each and every woman though none quite caught his attention. Damon was not one for formal events, though they were excellent ways to find young and unsuspecting women to make his victim. He was like a large bird of prey, though little did he know he was not the only predator in the room. From across the dance floor, Elizabeth Sutton watched the dancers with a poised expression, a wine glass in her hand. Though opposed as to wine, her glass was half full of blood; taken from a young man whom was all to willing to share under her compulsion. She swirled the crimson liquid around slightly before finishing the glass and handing it to a waiter whom had walked by her.

When she turned back around, she was met with a man in front of her, outstretched hand, where as his eyes looked up the length of her body only to linger where her dress had hugged around her tightly. "Dance with me," he said, a brow raised with an undoubtedly cocky expression. Liz rolled her eyes, making a motion to step past him, an obvious rejection, but he stopped her with a strong hand to her waist as he tugged her onto the dance floor.

"I thought the 'No' was implied?" she asked, settling to humor herself as she put a hand on his shoulder.

Damon pulled her close to him, able to smell the blood from her lips along with the scent of lavender in her hair -- it was intoxicating to say the least. "Well, I wasn't asking." The music playing had shifted to a more upbeat rhythm, Damon twisted his hand along her waist before dipping her down towards the floor. As the man he was now he couldn't resist pressing his lips to her neck, trailing his fangs lightly across her skin as a hand traced the soft skin exposed by the slit in her dress.

Pulled back up, her hair tasseled slightly, she couldn't help but smirk. "I'm Liz," she offered him.

"Damon."
