my fav thing about frankenstein was the sheer artistry and prevalence of those practical effects! not surprising, by any means, given that it is a guillermo del toro film, but i even though i was expecting it, i was still completely blown away by the practical effects! the make up! the prosthetics! the sets! the costumes! all of it! i really would love to find a deep dive somewhere breaking down all of the effects, i need to learn more about guillermo del toro's beautiful and twisted mind
