Last day of prototyping. Just practicing how to set it up for the final presentation. We experimented with the way we intend to set up our installation for the final presentation to the Lux officials and Ant tomorrow. Ollie and Dergie came in to check up on us and got the massive projector down for us to experiment with. We got some really awesome feedback from them too. We decided to face the projector away from the wall and point it up into the installation for the purpose of presentation, so that the projection that caught on the wall wasn’t to distracting. However when we used the larger projector, even though it showed up a lot clearer on both sides of the installation, that also meant it had a crisper image on the wall in the background (which isn’t ideal). So we now just need to play around with the angle of the projection so as not to distract from the overall presentation. We finally got to trial our completed sound and audio composition. And let me tell ya, there was some serious excitement coming from all of us. We are really happy with the turn out of the entire piece. Particularly the way the visuals weave through the material, and the way that the sound and visuals of the glitching effectively interrupts the narrative.
