Guys, I think I'm cooking with this one

Presenting my nearly complete three eyed ghoul, Eyeris Polyphemus!

Doing a little bit of research into this ghoul brought me these two images, and I built an idea of who this ghoul was off of there.

My main inspo for this ghoul was Veronica Mars! She's a little bit sassy, into alt fashion, and is dying to be a private eye(s?) when she graduates! A majority of the clothes are from Lagoona dolls (Ghoul's Night Out & Picture Day) which are some of my favorites. The color schemes & textures work super well for this ghoul too! I think that the one legged fishnet stockings work super well to pull off the mix and match look she refers to.

The sea theming to the clothes also works pretty well too. While there are several cyclops' who are said to be children of Uranus and Gaia, Polyphemus the specific Cyclops she is named after, is a child of Poseidon.

The frog is her three eyed pet frog named "Cyprus', presumably one of the escaped frogs in the webisode "Hatch Me If You Can". Her purse is a 3d printed combination of the "I Heart Fashion" Iris purse, and the three eyed frog model with loops placed on the side for the chains.

I'll probably go back and actually clean the paint up, but for now its fun!

One of the last things I'll mention on this post is the body paint I'm a little bit proud of. The original Eyeris limbs only have a small spiral on the thigh and dots on her forearms, which honestly look like a small collection of diseases rather than an fun skin detail.

So, since I didn't have the matching body anyways I took the time to extend the dots up to her upper arm and thigh to create a nice skin detail that doesn't just cut off randomly. It pokes through the fishnets too which is really cool.

I'll do an actual final post with her at some point, but I was just so excited about how she turned out that I couldn't wait to share her.

Ghouls, thank 12-year-old me who saved most of her Create-a-monster lab tattoos for this occasion because I’m starting a new series of looking at the ones that I have.

I don’t know exactly what monster each of the sets are based on so these will just be guesstimations.

Tattoo Set #1: Daughter of the Unicorn

Already starting off with a lovely looking darling! This is probably just because I’m getting MLP G3 Starcatcher vibes but I feel like she would be a very composed and caring ghoul. All the students would know exactly who to approach when they needed a shoulder to cry on. Unfortunately, she was sheltered as hell by her mother so she knows very little about the outside world- which leads her to be terribly curious. Every inch of the catacombs no matter how dangerous is getting explored by her. It’s a good thing she inherited healing magic because of her constant throws into every little nook and cranny of the school. Exudes very hippie energy and is always the one tricked into reading “unsavory” dictionary terms due to her completely cut-off from the, as she calls it “bad bad”, in her upbringing.

The Create-A-Monster skeleton ghoul's name is Skella Bones, she's the little sister of Sleek Bones (the skeleton boy background character), and she is a very bossy and prepotent ghoul that doesn't want to be seen as weak and fragile just because she's a skeleton, in fact, she always wants to demonstrate that she can do anything, even if her actions always end with her bones falling apart, or with any kind of failure.

I'm not really sure why I just kinda stopped working on my Orange Moth custom, I was pretty close to finishing her. (And according to tumblr, my last post about her was like three years ago... didn’t realize it had been that long, eep.) Her face and shoes were already painted, I had already made her outfit and wings. I had made her wig and antennae, though I had to put them on her head. Her purse was done, I just had to add some decoration to it. Her fur pieces were finished, I just added some fabric paint to make some of the raw edges look nicer. I also had to fix her one knee joint because her lower leg wouldn't stay on. I had modded her upper legs to be longer (because I wanted a height difference between her and the Jewel Caterpillar custom) and had messed up the knee joint a little in the process.

Anyways, she’s all done now! She’s made mostly from parts of the CAM nocturnal set. Her wings are felt painted with fabric paint, as are her antennae. I made her outfit and all the little fur pieces on her. I also painted details on her shoes. I made her purse to look a bit like her cocoon after she hatched (while the Jewel Caterpillar custom has a purse that’s supposed to look like the cocoon while the caterpillar is inside). The CAM face has no eye or mouth definition, so I could pretty much paint her any way that I wanted. I’m happy she’s finally done, I think she turned out well ^_^

I tried another wig on my bee CAM and I like how she looks a lot more than with the standard black/yellow wig! Those messed-up sideways bangs weren’t doing anything for her, and I’ve just noticed how the purple hair picks out the hot pink/purple pattern on her dress!

Her name is Queenie Combs and she’s one of my absolute favorite CAMs.
