I'M DOING AN ART EVENT PLS JOIN I PINKY PROMMY IT'LL BE FUN On JANUARY 4TH at 12 PM GMT (that's noon IN ONE MONTH, not midnight) the event starts, which will last 36 total hours and conclude at the END of JANUARY 5TH, AT MIDNIGHT. During this time period, there's one simple task for you should you choose to accept it. If you have an idea, and you've had it in your notes app or your brainhole for years and years, this event exists to try and act on it: finish that WIP, start planning that novel, make an album in this period, go nuts! ANY form of art is welcome! After the 36 hours are up, we'll be looking at your work, not to pick a best one or whatever, but to celebrate creation! In the absolute worst case scenario, you enter the event with a cool idea, fail to make it and learn from your mistakes, and still get to tell us about your awesome plans! also you get to hang out with a bunch for artists for a day and a half, neat!

Fallout’s fun fallout: these 8 strangers made a film from scratch in under 48 hours. A roll of the 🎲 🎲 at #attcreators Create-a-thon competition, and what a lucky gamble at that! 🎰{Brad @itsbradj as writer📝🎞} kicked us off with a fun little dark comedy script: with imminent nuclear disaster coming, 3 neighbors are forced to confront their feelings of living in a post-apocalyptic wasteland...or having to deal with THAT neighbor. 👀🤦🏻‍♀️(Bold to go for comedy, right?!). We had {Drew @rattlesnake_bolo as director🎥 and DP🔦📸-2X!} {Wilson @wilsonreyes as editor🎧✂️} {yours truly @oshiray as first time producer /in-betweener💻📍🛒💡☕️🎬⚖️🍻} and a fun Fallout cast... {GB as scared Dennis 😑😬} {Chris Lewis (on FB only) as “that” neighbor 🤓🚪} {Esther @esthermunuera 💄 as the impatient neighbor⏰} and first time actor {Yen @yendegreez as social media celeb📲 🤳 }. The top winning film NY Symphony well deserved the recognition... so no - we didn’t win. Yet hearing laughter and empathic reactions during our 4:59 second screening felt just right! Also - no egos got in the way during the making! We hung in diners, basements and bars and it was all good for an insta-date. Here’s to making good things with strangers and strange things with good people. T-Minus five days until CreateAthon@WVU!

We are just five short days away from kickoff at the Reed College of Media for West Virginia University’s first #CreateAthon event! The team has been working incredibly hard to get all the details in order for #CreateAthonWVU for months and we’re thrilled it’s almost here! 

The event will begin at 3pm on Friday, April 17 and will go until 3pm the following day. Participants can look forward to gaining real-world experience by working hand-in-hand with our three non-profit organizations for 24 hours straight. The three non-profits that will be participating in #CreateAthonWVU 2015 are: Literacy Volunteers of Monongalia & Preston Counties, MARS (Mountaineer Area Robotics) & Monongalia County Child Advocacy Center! We are thrilled to get the ball rolling and cannot wait to watch this event unfold! We hope to see you Friday.
