Our call to action is based on the unifying and healing power of the arts to connect survivors and supporters of gun violence victims and to increase awareness of the effects of gun violence in our communities. We are seeking young people who are bold, creative and expressive. Use your gift as an artist to be a voice for change and awareness! Performance Art: Spoken word poets, storytellers, dancers, singer/songwriters, short film makers Visual Art: Sculptors, photographers, painters, illustrators and street artists Minimum of 11 winners will be selected: 3 performance art entries from each age group (6 total) 2 visual art entries from each age group and 1 overall winner (5 total) Winners will be invited to participate in the CREATE Core Courage event in Asbury Park, NJ in November.
