I never walked the path alone
for you always held my hand
from the glorious mountains of Eden
through the deserts of fruitless sand
You removed the hateful swords
which betrayed my fragile heart
and stitched the bleeding wounds with love
that had torn my soul apart
And when we walked under darkened skies
you never let me stray
I felt you there beside me, Love
all along the rocky way
Now we stand upon the shadowed road
as this journey nears its end
for the stars shine on the horizon
where our souls will soon ascend
"Would you do it again," she asked
"if the path were still the same?"
"With gratitude and joy!" I smiled
"for this life I'm glad I came!"
She left me on the path alone
for the Heavens now guide the way
I sang a song of love and thanks
as the Goddess waltzed away
