My school life
I am only sharing this because I follow a very unique school program, I have never really seen classes like mine given in schools before so I just thought I’d share.
Now I follow a Game Art and Animation program. I’m in my second year and I absolutely adore it even though I have only had a little less than a week.
My school specializes in creativity, they call it a creative learning community. It offers, Media- event management, Photography, Game Development, Cross Media, Creative Technologies, Audio-Visual Specialist and Audio-Visual Animation.
Game Art and Animation shares a place in the school with Game Development as we work together often. But our area is the coolest. We have a gaming area with PS4′s, VR glasses, Xbox’s and arcade games as well. We have to be able to test out the things we make.
Anyways, my schedule is the following:
Monday:
9:00-12:30 I have AVA: Audio-visual Animation. In this time we get lectured in the way our programs work and the history of animation.
1:00-4:30 I get standard Dutch, Agebra and Calculus and English
Tuesday:
1:00-4:30 I have a class called “Practice” here is where we study our 3d programs and work on different 3d projects. For this we use 3ds Max and Maya.
Wednesday:
9:00-12:30 I have standard Dutch, Algebra, Calculus and English again.
1:00-4:30: I have Practice again and carry on working with our 3d programs.
Thursday:
9:00-12:30 I have a class called Personality. This class is one that gives us a chance to think about our futures and put 2 and 2 together about the work environment in our field.
1:00-4:30 I have AVA again and actually work on animating things and drawing.
Friday:
9:00-12:30 I have Practice again but this one is for the drawing of bodies and anatomy.
This year is quite different from my first year and I really am enjoying it a lot more. But I am getting bigger projects and more work is on my plate.
Going to school in the morning takes over an hour and coming back does as well. So a large chunk of my day is filled.
I guess what I want to say is, I might not post as much as I normally would. It saddens me because I thoroughly enjoy it. But forcing myself to stay awake at night to finish what I am writing is really strenuous on me. I aso tend to feel really bad if I don’t post anything for a day.
