I mentioned it in an earlier post (not holding it against you, it was lengthy), but essentially it was a combination of not knowing where to go with it aside from projects that would take forever to do (and now aren’t worth the time, I have original ideas I feel like I need to pursue, in tandem with AB, don’t worry), disinterest and a feeling of disappointment due to perceived pandering, though that could have just been in my head. Honestly, AB isn’t that different from CW once you realize it, it’s just open to the public, has a specific theme and personally allows me to work on things that bring me joy despite obscurity, rather than merely keeping up with the video game zeitgeist just for the sake of broader appeal (though overlap through mentions, cameos, and references commonly happen). Sure, making something like Smash Bros comics would have been much trendier and I could have easily done something very 4koma-like in execution, but I would’ve been really unhappy, too. Essentially it’s just me staying true to myself.
