Teachers Nathan Smith & Danita Jones took their students on a field trip. They attended the grand opening of the Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts in downtown #Orlando. Upon their arrival they were greeted by a man who exclaimed "oh those kids are from the ghetto!" He believed that they wouldn't be on "this side of town" unless their parents brought them to a basketball game. That encounter inspired their street performance for this year's @creativecityproject Nathan/Danita want to empower their students to have a voice. Their street performance will focus on issues of division & how to create unity in the city beautiful. This is their rehearsal of a song titled "R.I.P" that will be part of their performance.
