The days rush by. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ One of the reasons why we get the impression that time moves faster and faster the older we get is that so much of what experience is familiar. So what can we do if we want to prolong the years, days, hours, minutes, and seconds of the only life we've got? We can do unfamiliar things? Learn exciting new stuff. And it doesn't need to be all that dramatic. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I’ve played the piano since I was right, but it's only recently that I started to improvise and even sing while playing. Before I only played with sheet music or chords. Mainly classic music like Debussy or Tchaikovsky, but also experimenting with some Monk, Glass, Evans, and Waits. But singing and improvising give something else to my relationship with the dear old piano. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ It is so fun 🎢 and I can feel my life expanding while I lose the time, following whatever comes my way. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ The graphite drawing is part of an illustration I did for Kommunalarbetaren recently.
