Bird whispers… I’ve lost some of the looseness as I’ve aimed to push the composition….the bird makes me happy and the daisies called for inclusion. I never know where a story will take me when I begin. Intuitive art is like that… following your heart home. Right now it’s m looking at the idea of intuitive composition as I rarely use it formally. Composition is the structure or armature of the piece. I tend to start with a random playful background and choose the scaffold (composition structure) that feels right for the piece. Art is all about feeling after all. I’m this piece the little bird sits on a rule of thirds that intersection point. Their is an arrow in the floral forms that leads your eye back to the bird from above and below. It is letting go as I build layers of colour and form.
