added the bridge, the first two trees, and some terraforming to fix the half-hill the purple tree's blueprint was originally on
I accidentally got two poisonous trees. the crystal one uses corrupted water at the base and the purple one uses corrupted leaves. maybe I'll just lean into it and decide that's why shit's floating.
I outlined, dug out, and filled in a lake that wound up being big enough I had to bump up the rendering distance
next step: add a bridge to the teleporter and then start plonking houses down on the bank. and some funky trees.
I added a floating castle. next step: dig out and fill in a lake, then surround it in fancy houses.
I made a creative map in Creativerse so I could just fuck around and re-figure out how blueprints work, and I made myself a little floating island. At some point I will add another island with a castle, and then probably an elaborate lake underneath.
With blueprints, you can place blocks in chunks, instead of one by one, and I'd forgotten how satisfying the noise when you place a couple dozen blocks at once is. A sort of bassy, crystalline, wind chime-y, glass shattering noise.
I would say 'I don't even remember why I stopped playing for so long,' but I remember why perfectly.
played Creativerse for the first time in well over three years, promptly got fully absorbed and lost track of the next 7 hours. it's like Minecraft, but free, and also the Nether gives you poison damage just by existing in it.
I lost everything in the overhaul from a while back and had to start from scratch, but evidently that did not deter me. (and at least I still have my flashlight and glider from getting the paid version of the game)
I made my first little ugly cabin, and you can tell I watch a lot of Minecraft Youtubers because I made the roof out of stairs
and I made my first little ugly farm, with two types of 'shrooms, lettuce, turnips, and wheat.
I tamed an adorable pig thing and a weird ugly-cute lizard thing because I could. last time I played the game had no dogs and no mounts, and as far as I can tell it still doesn't, but I AM allowed to try taming literally every mob, as long as I have the right equipment.
and I tamed these because they kept walking into my house every time I left the door open and taming them was the easiest way to get them out of the way without bloodshed.
and then I tamed this because ... look at it. it's adorable. it's like if a pea pod was an alien and also slightly malevolent.
and then I decided to move on to greener pastures so I could go build a teleporter hub somewhere, because the farm is just my farm, not my home base, but first I made a little shed for the farm pets. the pea pod gets to freely wander around the inside of the house because he's adorable and I play favorites.
and then I tamed these while building the teleporter hub tree house because, again, I could, before finally turning the game off. you can't see the teleporter hub yet because it's mostly just a floor and some fence posts.
was feeling shitty, so I made a little wisteria arbour and picnic area to unwind my brain.
