Day 24/30 - If I were an animal what would I be and illustrate myself as that animal. // I procrastinated a lot on this challenge😬 I had a hard time picking an animal. I took a couple of “find your spirit/ totem animal” quizzes online and kept getting turtle in most of them. So I just went with it 🐢😀 // Turtles are peacemakers, determined, persistent, and symbol of the world. They have ancient wisdom, are slow moving and understanding. They also have a lot of emotional strength and the ability to stay grounded in moments of chaos and disturbances. They usually are go with the flow unless presented with danger and then they prefer to retreat in their shell. They like to keep to themselves and are not very social animals. // I do think most of it is true and applies to me, the only part which I couldn’t relate to was the ancient wisdom. Day 2/30 - Today’s prompt was by Jessica Bell and she asked to cut right through the center of something that you feel you couldn’t lose and then cut it in pieces and reassemble to make a collage of it. I didn’t have anything that was some precious collage material to me, so I just picked 2 random newsprint sheets from my collage scrap basket and cut them. I used punches to go through the cutting process quicker. Then was the fun part of playing with them to make a collage. Initially I did have fun playing with it but I could feel after the first few minutes some negativity creeping in and I was overthinking and procrastinating a little 🙄😣 I kept moving the pieces around and had a hard time committing to stick the pieces because I wanted it to look perfect 🤦‍♀️ But I finally did stick down the pieces and wrote “Ideas are like butterflies catch them before they fly away” around the whole page. When I see the overall page, I think I overdid it and I probably shouldn’t have put the thick black outline. Started this one last night while watching Doctor Who, and finished it today while my daughter was napping.
