Since the Creators for Creators Grant has now been awarded, I thought I’d share the pages I sent in with my application! I spent a whirlwind week pulling these pages together with help from my fiancee, Donna, and I’m super happy with them. While I didn’t get the grant, I now have a tidy little graphic novel pitch.

Pages 4&5 for my creators for greators grant submission

Trying to find the right level of "cartooniness" for #OnlyHuman, my #cyberpunk #graphicnovel I'm going to submit to #CreatorsForCreators. I've been working on the story from at least 2011, and I want to see it done. I've gotten better at #cartooning since a lot of the initial designs. I want a bit of the #BruceTimm or #DarwynCooke look (especially Darwyn's Parker series) and a bit of the #lingeclaire style seen on the works of #Moebius or #Herge #Tintin. I've also been influenced lately by other cyberpunk artists such as @deathburger and @mr.valenberg. I know that #cartoony art often doesn't go well with serious subjecta, but in my head it works.
