Creature fusion college project in 2021-2022. He was named Mr. Cuddles by my peers, and rightfully so! Just...don't piss him off xD I was lucky enough to have Casey Callender as my professor, and thankfully, he is a tough one to impress. I was determined that I WOULD get a 100 for this assignment, and I did!
this is a creature fusion of a Rake (in silence), mama Tattletale (Tattletale), the warden (Minecraft), and the ink demon (bendy and the ink machine).
the rotting terror relies mostly on hearing and vibrations to track down its prey. there can be only one of them in existence. it uses hell mold to detect intruders and to spread its territory. the mold can detect sound and vibrations and sends those signals to the Rotting Terror from where the disturbance is coming from. the rotting silence can mimic the sounds of previous souls they devoured to lure more prey in. the glowing orange spots of the hell mold are used to distract the prey, making it harder to shoot fore the head due to the mold looking like the creatures eyes. the mold can spread to different hosts through open wounds. when a living victim is infected, the victim can experience hallucinations and loss of insanity, and can be tracked down by the creature. the living host will also act fearful and aggressive towards their own kind, and will have urges to stay near the creatures territory where the mold will consume them faster and kill its living host. when the rotting terror dies, the recently dead host becomes the new rotting terror, transforming them into a deformed beast. to destroy it completely, you must destroy the mold to the point where there is no trace of it.
A lil’ fella! I don’t do a lot of creatures so this guy was fun to doodle out. I call him Chicken Moth.
When making this tiny bro, I was really inspired by chicken feet and moths (obviously), but also fire elemental creatures and bizarre make up. I’ll be messing with his design later, but I’m pretty happy with this considering how I’m usually very unhappy with my creatures.
I’m thinking of going for a more “realistic design next time...
