Orphée: libre sous couvert de ne jamais dire ce qu'il a vu
Jean Cocteau Orphée, 1950
Every time I watch one of these videos by Wheezywaiter, I write one central lesson I learned.
Lesson Today: JUST FREAKIN CREATE AWESOME THINGS WITH AWESOME PEOPLE THAT VALUE WHAT YOU THINK IS AWESOME.
Creativity and Time
Creativity comes with time, and as soon as time is gone
creativity ends, as they cannot be left 'lone.
Should creativity end, it shall be with time
as they both, indeed, are two sides of a dime.
A pencil is what it takes to write it all down
a brush for art, a needle for gown
an imagination before that has everyone bow'n,
but time is the one that it only has show'n.
'Cause the ticking of time is a tick of ourselves
as the imagination, and it ticks to reveal to yourselves
that you are who you are, lone as a single mind
and that a true friend is not what all of us can find.
If we are going to create truly meaningful art, if we are going to give our lives over to such a process of creativity, then we must fight tooth and nail to capture what others are missing.
