Yan Rabbit Monster + Creep Reader Blurb

"Grown ass rabbit by the way-"
Blinking back its grief, the rabbit's nose crinkles beyond the protective latex film of its mask. Broad shoulders pry your thighs apart, firmly pinning you to the couch as his large head rubs against the exposed flesh of your stomach - staining your skin with salty tears and woe.
Its muscles tense as the palm of your hand meets their shoulder - massaging the scarred skin buried beneath layers of thick, coarse fur.
"This isn't like you, Rascal- Well, you are pretty clinging, but normally you give me space when I give the signal. What's got you down, Bunny?"
Soft.
You're so soft compared to that place. Oh so very soft- And real. Rivaling the empty, barren wasteland of its dreams. A world without you- Dark and cold. Void of any resemblance of the person and place its come to know as home.
"Don't."
He croaks- throat rubbed raw from forlorn sniffles and whines to escape the realm of its night terrors. Defeatedly, their hands paw at the back of your shirt - soundlessly pleading for mercy.
"Don't make me live through that again. I can't imagine a world without you.. To dream of such a place... I can't..I won't return. Don't make me relive that awful, terrible place."
Using both hands, and the brunt of your upper body strength, you lift the rabbit's from your lip- Rolling your thumb along the edge of the eye holes in their mask where tears threaten to spill. With a hefty sigh, you press your lips to the tip of their twitching nose - silencing their cries almost instantaneously.
"You had a bad dream?... Why didn't you just say that? I'm not going anywhere, Rascal. I promise."
Scooping you up in its massive arms, the creature drags you down to his level on the floor- The gap between your bodies too great for its heart to bare.
It'll take a number of showers to get the fur and rabbit musk off you, but it's the least you can do to prevent the demise of your pet via a broken heart.
