I know it’s a bit late notice but I made an art challenge for those who want to participate! This is my first time doing something like this so I tried to blend the themes with Halloween, horror and more fandom related stuff! I tried to make it so each day has options

ghost , I did Ben Drowned ... haven't watched the arg yet but I will soon . I like this guy , he's fun

Creeptober Day 19: Proxy (a little late, but with HC's)

The Proxies and Their Notes

Proxy (ˈprɑːksi)- a person who is given the power or authority to do something for someone else

Let's face it

Slenderman isn't exactly the loving dad character everyone wants him to be

If anything I see him as acting like a scientist does with their subjects

Interested, concerned with mental and physical wellbeing, invested in integrity. But not really... Emotionally connected

The Proxies aren't exactly willing, though some accepted the "job" easier than others.

Brian seemed to just embrace it, Kate fought initially, Tim continues to fight. Toby had to be shown the one thing he couldn't experience: pain, all of it.

It's a begrudging relationship at best, for all of them

The notes we know Kate for leaving around aren't just a Kate thing however

All of the proxies seem to compulsively scribble notes if they have a pen/pencil and any writing surface

Notebook paper, printer paper, backs of ads, blank pages from books, receipt paper, napkins, cardboard

Scribbles in Sharpie, ballpoint pen, fountain pen, pencils of different softness and thickness, blood (both human and not), art markers, charcoal, chalk, and on one occasion, cake frosting

In the mansion

If you think hard enough about it

You can find a room that's just papered with proxy notes

Bright white notes donated by the current lineup

But varying stages of yellowing notes overlaid on top of notes that are actually turning brown.

There's no rhyme or reason to these notes

Kate keeps a bowl of tacks next to the door

And if one falls down

Just pin it back up

The proxies like to keep it around as a reminder

They don't have to like it

To tell Slenderman that

While he can control them and make them do unspeakable things

And they can do what they can to warn prospective prey as best as they can

I did Jeff (for obvious reasons) and Ham because NOBODY BUT ME KNOWS HAM !!!!!!!! have both of them in one shitty drawing because my brain is rotting and I'm incapable of thinking

So I'm going to do a few prompts, but only a few days... Work is too demanding and I've been dead on my feet. But my brain says "Draw, damn you!" So draw I will 😤. I think in total, I have five sketches. We'll see which ones make the cut 😅
