“just tell me something, was it really worth it?” (screAMING IDK BUT ILY)
Fresh blood tinted his lips, stained his clothing, and coated his hands. His fingers shook as he stared down at them, realization suddenly hitting him. He let the cravings cloud his judgement and he attacked an innocent stranger who was roaming around in the dark. It wasn’t a normal feeding, he couldn’t stop himself before it was too late. He killed them. Drained them of their blood. Their body lay limp at his feet and before he could even process any of this he heard a voice, one that cut straight through his heart.
‘Just tell me something, was it really worth it?’
“Ariella?” He spun around and their eyes locked. “No, no -- this isn’t me!” He shook his head as tears immediately rolled down his cheeks. She was never supposed to see this side of him. He needed to be the person who deserved to be in her presence and now that was all shattered. Now she saw him for the disgusting creature he truly is. “Please, I’m so sorry. I didn’t mean to. I made a mistake.” He blurted out apologies as his breathing quickly turned erratic. His worst fears were unfolding before him and he couldn’t handle it. His mind broke down into a panic as his world crumbled before him. If he could meet a true death he would accept it now. He contemplated flipping the switch so he wouldn’t have to bear the pain that would soon follow. He did not deserve her forgiveness nor love but he was far too selfish. He needed her, now more than ever.“Please...Don’t hate me.”
