My original idea was going to have a door closing on him but I went with just leaving it more bare(?). I liked the isolating feel, it reminded me of when I was a little kid and hated sleeping alone in my room during the dark. I suppose I just hated being lonely because even though I had nightlights I didn't like sleeping alone in my room at all.
I suppose in this piece he wouldn't be scared, he kind of has no choice but to be alone. In the original sketch I made on paper he was crying/on the verge of tears. I decided to change that and make him look more contemplative, which is crazy for a toddler. I wonder what thoughts are going through his little head :,|

Just random idea fic that I wanna write but don't know how.
It was during the takedown where Conan with Gin in a room. Then, Conan was almost gotten shot but suddenly, Kid protected him.
Gin got captured and Conan was angry at Kid. Because he had told the thief to go with the others, taking the other criminals outside, taking Snake outside. But, the thief hadn't listened anc got hurted because of Conan.
"Why did you do that?!" Conan yelled on the rooftop while Kid wrapped the bandage around his torso. Kid stayed silent.
"Kuroba!"
"Because I want to protect you." Conan gritted at the reply.
"I don't need it."
"Liar. You always acted tough, protected Mouri-san, Miyano-san and... me. But, the truth you were scared all this time, didn't you? Hiding under your father's table and just sat there for hours because you couldn't show your weakness to us."
Kid stood up and walked towards Conan who was surprised at that. Kid kneeled in front of him.
"Let me hold you this time, Shinichi. Trust me, please."
Kaito hold out his hand and a few moments after, Conan acccepted it. Kaito pulled the detective for a hug, aware of his injuries before whispering,
"you don't need to be scared anymore. They're gone and I'll be here from now on. With you. Protecting you." and Conan started to cry.
