Heya! I just wanted to say you're awesome and I love your drawings (esprcially the ones with Aberrant :-D). Quick question: what would be Aberrant's reaction to Corruption? Would he like it?

Oh yeah, and to nip this in the bud before it becomes a thing, I DID give a general answer to whether or not Face Monsters (and, by extension, Aberrant) reproduce; it was indirectly addressed on this post and subsequently hidden behind a Read More tag, which is probably why people didn’t catch it (I didn’t think enough people cared at the time and figured I was being annoying haha).

To simply repost it here and NOT behind a readmore:

In my headcanon, creatures just… grow from the Crimson, there’s no actual reproduction or need for it on an individual level. Crimson bioforms simply grow from genetic templates of other lifeforms from surrounding biomes that make their way into the biome itself and die there, either by the overabundant, creeping biomass enveloping and mutating corpses or sampling the DNA of whatever’s left and growing something out of it. After a while, Crimson patches grow a distinct ‘memory’ of the most common lifeforms, which may or may not feed into one another over long distances due to their associated Brains, resulting in similar pools of bioforms from Crimson to Crimson. This is in contrast to the Corruption, which has its own predetermined templates, hence why their biotypes are a lot more uniform compared to the biotypes it he Crimson.

To add to that from a PM I got, Aberrant is a special case in addition to that. The whole reason he has the spark of intelligence is due to the Starfallen spirit living inside of him, which doesn’t have a physical form by itself anyway, so it also has no real inclinations to reproduce.

So while I’m not necessarily actively discouraging people from being attracted to him, that’s just my explanation for what’s going on when I write. :>

Bonus: We know there are baby Face Monsters and baby Crimeras because Bone Rattle, so yo:

Crimeras would probably be the most default, while others are the results of DNA leeching and combining and mutating. Also, have a babby Herpling without its melting human skin. Excluding feesh and jellies for being fairly simple to start with.

T:Best game memory?

THIS is gonna be a story, so, I was playing a game called operation Flashpoint, its like a huge sorta realistic shooter game, I was in a helicopter sitting next to the pilot, he gets shot and dies, I am unaware of this I ask why we are heading towards a mountain and he informs me he died like 5 minutes ago and the helicopter has been slowly drifting to me death. It crashes and thats why I don't fly in helicopters with him anymore.
