KakaAina? That one’s still in the works, too, but so far, I’d say I dig it! Animal lovers, romance novel enthusiasts, priority on teamwork, a tendency to bottle up things and say as little as possible about their personal lives, lingering issues from losing their fathers at a young age that forced them to grow up a bit too fast...these dorks have got more in common than you’d think they would have at a glance.
Given how, in her own canon bio, she would technically be the closest to his genin squad due to her personal investment in those three kids, this gives her and Kakashi ample opportunity to meet up.
Honestly, Aina is shocked at the prospect of Kakashi being interested in her in that way...not that she’s complaining! Despite having just about all the qualities ladies go for (she thinks so, anyway), he always seemed so closed off in the world inside his head--or else he maybe had a thing going with Might Guy, the one thing other than his books that could stir the smallest spark of passion out of him before he was assigned to Team 7.
She’s not sure what she’s done lately to have become a new source of inspiration, but she sees no reason not to encourage and nurture it! Maybe, in some way, this new love could open up a path to growth and healing? They just both need to drop their respective guard a little more...
