Creator of yourfaveispropalestine is Palestinian and has been opened up to harassment from zios and “pro Palestine” bloggers alike. Can we not talk over and mock the coping mechanisms of young Palestinians please.
I reblogged the post saying that they were Palestinian, I'm pretty sure. I didn't realize before I reblogged that first one but yes I agree, if I knew sooner I wouldn't have said it.
I can't speak over anyone that is going through that or have family going through that and no I do not want to diminish their coping mechanisms with that.
Honestly, looking back on it now, that person who posted about it shouldn't have at all as this person is definitely young and it just opened them to a shit ton of harassment for something that they are going through. When people post about other people like that, it gives a Twitter mindset to this place and I hate that.
I did feel heated up in that moment I reblogged it first because I know there are some weird ppl on Tumblr honestly, but I should be more open-minded or at least look more into it before I say anything if I could say anything at all especially with these matters.
I really hope that person is okay and is in a safe position now. Unfortunately zionists will always be shitty about it but pro-palestine blogs need to do better and I'm sorry that I got so heated about it when I shouldn't have.
