Chicken Fried Steak is a classic Southern comfort food made with cube steak that has been dipped in a crispy, seasoned breading. This dish is hearty, filling, and perfect for a cozy dinner.
Ingredients: 4 pieces of cube steak. 1 cup all-purpose flour. 1 teaspoon salt. 1 teaspoon black pepper. 1 teaspoon garlic powder. 1 teaspoon onion powder. 2 eggs. 1/4 cup milk. 1 cup vegetable oil for frying.
Instructions: In a shallow bowl, combine flour, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. In another bowl, whisk together eggs and milk. Dip each piece of cube steak into the flour mixture, then into the egg mixture, and back into the flour mixture. Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium heat. Fry the cube steaks for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and cooked through. Remove from the skillet and place on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.
