Use your Kitchen Aid stand mixer to make the perfect pizza dough for making tasty pizza at home. This recipe makes two 12-inch crusts that are soft on the inside and crispy on the outside.
Ingredients: 4 cups all-purpose flour. 1 packet 2 1/4 tsp active dry yeast. 1 1/2 cups warm water. 2 tsp sugar. 2 tsp salt. 2 tbsp olive oil.
Instructions: Put warm water, sugar, and yeast in a small bowl. Allow it to sit for 5 to 10 minutes until it foams up. Put flour and salt in the bowl of your Kitchen Aid stand mixer. Slowly add the yeast mixture and olive oil while the mixer is on low speed. Mix the dough until it holds together. Add a little more flour if it's too sticky, and a little more water if it's too dry. For about 5 minutes, use the dough hook attachment to knead the dough until it is smooth and elastic. Roll the dough into a ball and put it in a bowl that has been greased. It should rise for one to two hours, or until it doubles in size. Cover it with a damp cloth. Set your oven to 475F 245C before you start cooking. If you have a pizza stone, put it in the oven while it's getting hot. The dough has risen, so punch it down and split it in half to make two 12-inch pizzas. On a floured surface, roll out each piece of dough to the thickness you want. Place the rolled-out dough on a pizza peel or baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Add the things you like on your pizza. Place the pizza on the parchment paper and move it to a baking sheet or a pizza stone that has already been heated up. Heat the oven to 400F. Bake for 12 to 15 minutes, or until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbly and browned. Take it out of the oven, cut it up, and enjoy!
