Torrent Tutorial
So loads of people on my dash have no idea how to use torrents and I thought I'd simplify it a little because it's actually a very simple process.
With torrents you need a program - I use utorrent, which is free. Download utorrent or bittorrent or whatever program you like the most, and install it.
When you find a torrent, whether you use thepiratebay or another torrent-hosting website, simply click the link and a window should be opened asking you if you'd like to launch your torrent application. This automatically opens your torrent program and lets you choose the destination of the file you want to download.
Once you've chosen where you want the file to go etc the download should start automatically.
The whole seeding thing sounds really complicated but actually it just affects the speed of your download. When you're torrenting the file is being uploaded as you're downloading it. So if there are a lot of 'seeders' it means that your file is being uploaded very fast and therefore your download should be quicker. If there are less seeds your file is being uploaded more slowly so your download is slower.
It's really very simple and nothing to worry about :D I hope that's helpful!
