crit 3
this has definitely been my favourite crit so far. i think it might be because of the two week break we had from any crits; i enjoyed having some zoom-free time to create whenever i wanted to. my crit prep chat was quite brief, i just told bedwyr what i’m going to show, and also informed him of wanting to use somewhere in uni to set up a small show with elisa and libby.
the crit was really good. i think my practice seemed more established, and this came across in the responses to my work. during the reading week, i filled up my frame, glued, and cut, and then glued again so they were (mainly) finished, aside from a backing. i decided to show three of the ones i’d made, two household/everyday objects; a sock and a worm on a string, and a pink flower which links into my collaborative work with elisa and libby. i thought it’d be a good opportunity to highlight the fact that there’s a divide within my work, being made with different intentions in mind.
