okay but “george is gay ipad” lives in my head rent free (derogatory) and to this day is one of the legitimately homophobic things dream has done that people just ..... never bring up when criticising him??

HSGAHSH people will bring up some made up fact about dream they saw on twitter for 0.5 seconds while scrolling through their feed and never bothered to check whether it was true while criticizing him but not bring up actually valid things

What's the need for him to acknowledge it publicly when it doesn't making him any less of a supporter for acknowledging it privately?

Like i understand how it can be disappointing for a CC not to say 'Happy pride month' but it isn't necessary for him to say when he's actively being supportive of it. He's donating money towards it but him not saying 'Happy pride month' makes him an A-hole? I don't know about that. A lot of events George doesn't tweet about in general but if you bring it up on his streams he would happily discuss it e.g with Ramadan he talked about how he knew what muslims had to do and even gave his own story in school about it In regards to his teacher.

Also he did acknowledge pride month in Ranboo's stream when they were talking about it.

i love how people always say “ a lot of events “ but only ever bring up the Ramadan one because that’s the only example.

once again, i am saying, this isnt because i think everyone has to tweet something about pride month in order to get a “ you’re not homophobic! “ sticker but because it seems very ingenuine if you cannot tweet something simple concerning it but can release pride merch. because pride merch makes george money and pride tweet makes george lose homophobic fans

He brought up the gay ipad thing when he went to Kacey’s stream(or is it her friends?) but he did mentioned how he was educated that it was wrong there. I was really mad when he first did that and he does have a habit for defending himself in the heat of the moment where he sounds like he’s excusing himself but months later he brought up those old controversies and talked about how he was wrong.

months later... habit.. he has a habit.

dear anon, lightheartedly, if you are trying to defend dream you are doing a horrendous job at it. habit. a habit? why should i care that its regular for him to be an asshole. that. that makes it worse.

it seems as if he can do anything and never improve as long as he says some fancy words he picked up from twitter that sound apologetic later. apologies mean nothing without change lol.

u present him as if he is not a grown man who should have learned not to throw tantrums when his ego gets bruised by now

why does dream only apologize when directly asked to if he cares so much about being educated

george has been one of my favs for a long time but i simply cannot tell whether the man consciously chooses to appear so apolitical or is just oblivious to what is going on around him </3 not saying anything about pride month doesnt sit right w me especially bc he’s profiting off of pride with his merch :( i don’t agree w all the “bare minimum” stuff in regard to CCs tweeting about pride, our streamers can n should be using their platforms to support lgbtqia+ and make ppl feel accepted

there is no way george is that oblivious he just chooses to present himself in that way since it clears him from any sort of criticism from his stans, which think gogy is their baby that needs protection.

it just puts me off how he can put out pride merch but not acknowledge it on his twitter
