A man driving through Tehran's underworld while his dog is home alone, dealing drugs and healing troubled souls.
A look at Tehran's darker side with a very interesting character at its centre. A stoner film. But of the more realistic kind about addicts. It's not surprising that the Iranian regime tried to repress the film.
It starts with a lengthy, captivating opening scene that moves the camera through a car tunnel. It made me wonder if and where that is in Tehran.
Overall it's a dark movie but there are also some visually amusing scenes - an endless staircase, the camera mounted right in front of the driver doing 360° turns - that keeps it from becoming too depressing.
