Critical Role Campaign 4 Episode 4 Part 2 was absolute madness — Murray’s rocking her Divining Wizard powers with a Nat 20 in her pocket, Bolaire turned out to be a MASK (??), and Thjazi’s not quite who we thought he was. And then… OCTIS RETURNS.

Not exactly alive, but definitely BACK. I went from sobbing to cheering to completely losing my mind.

I’m not okay. 💔

In this reaction to Critical Role Campaign 4 Episode 4, I experience my very first character death… and it completely broke me.

Octis is gone.

Pincushion is gone.

I cried for most of the episode and honestly, I still haven’t stopped. This was supposed to be my cozy, feel-good RPG adventure — and instead, the dice took everything from me. This is the story the dice wanted to tell, but I don’t like it. I’m sad, angry, and totally heartbroken.

So I’m off to cry into some fan art of Pincushion 🦊 and hope for better rolls next time.

Thank you for being here, for feeling this with me, and for reminding me that storytelling can hurt this beautifully.
