This Roman leather armor is interesting because it was reused in two different productions by the same actor. The first time the costume was used was in the 1964 British comedy 𝑪𝒂𝒓𝒓𝒚 𝑶𝒏 𝑪𝒍𝒆𝒐, worn by Francis de Wolff as Agrippa. Wolff wore the piece again in a 1965 episode of 𝑫𝒐𝒄𝒕𝒐𝒓 𝑾𝒉𝒐, entitled 𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝑴𝒚𝒕𝒉 𝑴𝒂𝒌𝒆𝒓𝒔, in which he played Agamemnon. See more at: Bit.ly/AncMed015

This Leather Lamellar Cuirass is crafted from thick scales of 8-9 oz leather which are approximely 3.5 mm in thickness. These tough leather scales give the bearer substantial protection in some combat sports and in LARP. The scales are linked together with thick leather stitching and the armor is donned and adjusted to fit with a set of sturdy leather straps and brass buckles at both sides and the shoulders. These straps allow for a good range of adjustment and fine-tuning of the fit of the armor to the body.
One year of work on this cosplay was worth it!
